Bristol�s Slapstick Comedy Festival invites you to a star-studded evening of classic onscreen silent comedy and live entertainment.

With Very Special Guests: Barry Cryer, Neil Innes, Ian Lavender and Bill Oddie.

This once in a life-time event presents four of the funniest classic silent comedies on the big screen featuring: Laurel & Hardy in WE FAW DOWN (1928) , Buster Keaton�s NEIGHBOURS (1920), Charlie Chaplin in ONE A.M. (1916) and the effervescent Harold Lloyd in GET OUT AND GET UNDER (1920).

Each film will be introduced by one of the UK�s finest comic performers and writers.

Barry Cryer is one of Britain�s finest comic writers having worked with everyone from John Cleese to Morecambe and Wise and is a core member of Radio 4�s I�m Sorry I Haven�t a Clue team.

Ian Lavender�s roles as Private Pike in Dad�s Army and Derek Harkinson in Eastenders has firmly established him as one of Britain�s favourite comic and dramatic actors.

Bill Oddie, well known for his BBC wildlife programmes, first became a household name as one third of �The Goodies� themselves celebrated for their extraordinary visual comedy.

Neil Innes is the legendary Bonzo Dog front man, Rutle and Ego Warrior, often described as �The Seventh Python�.

The films are accompanied live by two world class ensembles Jazz Train, the marvellous 25 piece youth big band from Saaland, Germany plus The European Silent Screen Virtuosi featuring triple Oscar-winning animator and jazz cornetist Richard Williams and world-acclaimed silent film maestro G�nter Buchwald on violin and piano, along with his international friends.

With Chris Serle as �Master of Ceremonies� and special guest vocal performances from Neil Innes and actor Paul McGann this gala is truly a once in a life-time opportunity to see the funniest silent comedy, along with some of our best loved British comedy performers, promising to be bigger, better and funnier than ever!
