Probably best known for his infamous appearance as Major Heinrich Strasser in Casablanca (1942). Conrad Veidt (1893 � 1943) is one of the most recognisable actors in the history of cinema.

However, how many of his silent films have you seen? The Bristol Silents Club Screening for August 2011 celebrates the great Veidt with a night of his work. So come and join us and celebrate one of the key Silent Films stars of the silent era.
