Sykes at 80 - A Celebration
Event Highlights

Introduced as “one of the finest comic talents this county has ever produced” and a “national treasure.”

Eric Sykes entered Watershed’s cinema one on Sunday 7th December to raucous applause from the sell-out audience. His appearance followed a screening of his classic ‘Silent’ comedy THE PLANK.

Now 80, Eric was charming and funny entertaining discussing his own comedy films and talking about his comedy heroes including Laurel and Hardy and Hatti Jacques.

Highlights of his onstage appearance will be posted when available. The event was filmed and Bristol Silents hope to tour a film of the edited highlights with THE PLANK at regional arts cinemas in the new year. For more information contact:
