Circomedia students past & present perform something unexpected at the opening of The Slapstick Festival
We have a press release from Circomedia regarding the part they’re playing at Colston Hall as warm up for Friday’s gala. It reads as follows:
The snow hasn’t deterred Circomedia from rounding up a dozen of its past and present students for a unique one off performance at the gala opening of the 9th annual Slapstick Festival on the 25th January. Under the direction of Circomedia’s Artistic Director Bim Mason, and drawing on their extensive training in circus and theatre, they have devised a 10 minute flashmob performance which will undoubtedly take its audience by surprise! Our students will be honouring the silent comedic talents of Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel and many more all of whom started out performing circus and vaudeville. We suggest you bring your cameras to catch something truly unique. The best part is its free!
Time and Place …
25th January, 7:00pm, Colston Hall Foyer, admission is free.
In other words it starts 30 minutes before the show & you don’t need tickets to enjoy! You also won’t miss it if you’re going to the splendid Instant Wit beforehand. And while talking about Instant Wit, remember tickets are only £5 if you have a gala ticket. It’s 99% certain tickets for Instant Wit will be available on the night – show your ticket at the box office & get in for a fiver!
