March Club Screening. Berlin: die Sinfonie der Großstadt (1927)


It’s that time of the month again, CLUB SCREENING TIME. This months screening is Walter Ruttmann’s Berlin: die Sinfonie der Großstadt. Admission, as ever, is FREE! There will be an intro by German Film Historian Horst Claus & there will be the usual screening notes. The date / time is 14th March, 7.30.





Berlin: die Sinfonie der Großstadt (Berlin: Symphony of a Great City) is one of the last true great German films of the silent era. The film takes us through the every day running of Berlin with some fantastic use of rhythm of that time particular time, from work to the incredible night life of Germany in the late 1920s.

With a brand new score and a superb print, March’s Club Screening for Bristol Silents will be a real true spellbinding experience!!
