Bristol Silents Club Screening October

Our monthly club screening is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, October the 26th.

This month we’re showing a film by Danish director Benjamin Christensen at The King’s Arms, Whiteladies Road, Bristol. Doors will be open at 7.30.

The film we’re screeing is Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages

There are people who have seen Häxan, and those who are waiting to see it!

A Visually stunning history of the occult, Häxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages (1922) recreated actual incidents based on records of witch trials, demonic possessions, and torture by the Inquisition.

Writer-director Christensen plays Satan himself in this genuinely scary, no-holds-barred silent film. Häxan is one of the most impressive Swedish/Danish silent horror films ever made! You don’t want to miss this one!

As ever the screening is free. We’ll also be providing the usual notes & we are lucky enough to have BBC Bristol’s Film Critic Paul Cowgill introducing the film.

The Facebook page for more information can be found here

We look forward to hopefully seeing some of you there then.
