Tributes To The Goodies

On the 7th November 2010, on the eve of their 40th anniversary, The Goodies (Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie) came to Bristol’s Watershed to talk to Sir Christopher Frayling about their comic creations, as well as to receive the Aardman Animations/Slapstick Festival award for “Outstanding Achievement in the field of visual comedy”.

The whole event was recorded by Watershed & has been archived over at Dshed (Watershed’s online showcase of creative work) here: http://www.watershed.co.uk/dshed/goodies-conversation

The event included tributes from five people who’d either been involved with The Goodies series or were friends of The Goodies (or were both). We thought we may as well do a separate little blog to include just these. They are by Michael Palin, June Whitfield, Robert Ross (The Goodies biographer), Tony Blackburn &, of course, Barry Cryer.
